NASA's Perseverance Rover: Exploring Mars with Advanced Scientific Instruments and the Ingenuity Drone

Perseverance is a NASA rover that was launched to Mars in July 2020 and landed on the planet in February 2021. It is equipped with a suite of scientific instruments and cameras that it uses to study the Martian surface and search for signs of past microbial life.

Perseverance is not a drone itself, but it carried a small, lightweight drone called the Mars Helicopter (also known as Ingenuity) to the planet. Ingenuity was deployed by Perseverance in April 2021 and is the first aircraft to fly on another planet. It is designed to fly in the thin atmosphere of Mars and is equipped with a range of sensors and cameras to gather data and capture images of the Martian surface. The primary goal of the Ingenuity mission is to demonstrate the feasibility of powered flight on another planet.
